An Update from the Toman Family (as of May 2)
Share
From April 25 to April 30, family and friends travelled back to Mont Tremblant to conduct their own coordinated ground search. Covering more than 200 km of terrain within a 20 km radius of the ski village and surrounding area, the team left no stone unturned.
Phase 3 of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) search began Thursday, April 24. The SQ helicopter scanned all open-water areas, and on Wednesday, April 30, specialized teams combed the swamp near parking lot P1 and mountain terrain close to the casino. Unfortunately, neither the SQ search nor the family effort uncovered any physical evidence of Liam.
The likelihood of criminal involvement is now evident in Liam’s disappearance. Investigators continue to follow up on clues and interview new individuals who have come forward in response to widespread media coverage. The SQ will pursue every lead until Liam is found.
The Toman family would like to thank every person and business supporting our ongoing mission to bring Liam home safely—especially those who made last week’s search possible. None of this would have been possible without the support of the community - and those in it.
Special thanks to Mark Foerster, Dana Yurchi, Shireen Khamissa, Lorianne Phinney, Steve Phinney, Marg McRae, Rick McRae, Deborah Heezen, Lisa Wheller, Steve Matyi, and Sebastian Wojtczak for assisting with the canvassed search; to the SQ for their continued efforts; and to Camp de Base Tremblant, Waddell Construction, Property Valet, Ryan Design International, Brooklin Bulletin Signs, Global News, and TVA for their recent support and coverage.
We also thank the public for ongoing messages of hope. The family is asking the residents and visitors to the Mont Tremblant area to keep their eyes open while out hiking or biking on the trails area. We hope that the right person will see something or know something and help bring Liam home. We believe the right person will see or know something that will help bring Liam home.
